For a yacht which is essentially a luxury motor cruiser, the Buizen 40' delivers an impressive sailing performance even in the slightest 10 to 14 knot breezes, making an easy 7 knots upwind and plenty more downwind - and that in sheer comfort, luxury and style! The hull has a fin keel with an elliptical rudder. A strong grid layout using hardwood framing and solid glass stiffens the structure and a ring frame is glassed in place around the hull where the chain plates are located.
The Buizen 40's beamy hull allows for very generous, comfortable below- deck design and accommodation. Up forward there is an outstanding, beautifully laid out and spacious fore cabin. A double berth with a split hanging and shelved locker, cupboard space and shelving is set along the starboard side. |
